WEST has treated the cooling water systems at a National Laboratory for eight years. The chemical treatment programs here were jointly developed with the laboratory's personnel specifically to handle the very high silica levels in the well water makeup. Throughout our years of experience with the water treatment programs at this location, our programs have allowed for reduced water consumption (increased cycles of concentration) while maintaining the integrity of very sensitive research equipment.
