For many years WEST has treated the water systems for a large Fortune 500 facilities management company that owns and operates central heating and cooling plants throughout the U.S. Included among many that WEST treats in the Southwest is a major resort and convention center in Las Vegas, Nevada and a nationally recognized hotel and tourist attraction in Long Beach, California.
Located within the Sepulveda pass in Los Angeles, California is a world class museum of fine art. WEST has treated the boiler, cooling, and chilled water systems here for a number of years. Our programs have proven to be effective at controlling scale, corrosion and fouling within the treated systems while eliminating exposure of the art works and antiquities to potentially harmful chemicals.
WEST has treated the water systems associated with the air conditioning and ice making systems for Los Angeles' premier sports arena since its startup.
WEST provides water treatment products and services to a Fortune 100 paper manufacturer in Fullerton, California. Applications include high-purity, high-pressure boiler systems, process cooling systems, and a 17 MW co-generation plant.
WEST has treated the cooling water systems at a National Laboratory for eight years. The chemical treatment programs here were jointly developed with the laboratory's personnel specifically to handle the very high silica levels in the well water makeup. Throughout our years of experience with the water treatment programs at this location, our programs have allowed for reduced water consumption (increased cycles of concentration) while maintaining the integrity of very sensitive research equipment. The success of these programs has become the keystone of a laboratory-wide water conservation program.
WEST has been treating the water and process systems in a 54,000-barrel-per-day refinery located in southern California since 1985. During this time we have assisted with many plant projects, including an upgrade of the wastewater system and the start-up of a new 7 MW co-generation plant.
